You are probably wondering how Mary Church Terrell and Misty Copeland fit together. They are both African-American Women who have had huge impacts on America. Mary Church Terrell (among others) worked to secure rights for her race. These were rights that no one can image life nowadays without. Misty Copeland uses these rights and overcame stereotypes to become the first African-American ABT (American Ballet Theatre) soloists in 2 decades.
